Eat More, Lift More
Gaining muscle does require you just to eat more and move more. It can be hard to do this when you feel like no matter how much you eat; you just can’t gain weight, but the truth is that for the most part, everyone’s body works in a similar way.
If you sit down and log everything that you eat and drink, every day, including measurements (a few mouthfuls of pasta isn’t the same as an entire portion, and if you’re thinking “I ate out at that Italian restaurant last night” but you aren’t finishing your plate, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
To gain muscle, you need to lift heavy weights, and also eat properly and also take supplements like Somatodrol which has become so popular lately. You need to consume more calories than you burn and make sure you’re getting enough protein. If you’re the sort of person who sometimes forgets to eat, or that eats a lot of vegetables and not much dairy or meat, then this might be difficult for you.
One way to ensure you’re getting enough calories is to drink protein shakes. They are useful for increasing your total calorie intake and ensuring that you’re getting the right amount of protein too, and they’re not particularly filling, because they’re liquid, so it’s easier to hit the calorie goal.
Aim to lift moderately heavy weights – weights that are challenging enough that you can’t do them for more than about five repetitions before you start to struggle with them. So don’t you tell me is not possible to gain muscle in a very short amount of time.
Do some cardiovascular workouts, but not too many. It’s good to do cardio to promote a healthy respiratory session, but extended periods of training on a treadmill will just tire you out and won’t do much good. You’ll be better off doing 30 minutes of cardio a couple of times a week, and sticking to heavy weights, lifted with good form.
Don’t worry about nutrient timing – bodybuilders sometimes say that it’s best to eat 5-6 meals a day, but that isn’t necessarily true, especially for beginners. Eat at times that suit you, take Somatodrol and that allow you to hit your daily calorie goals. It will pay off in the long term.
